Even though we’re only a month into the fall semester, the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) wants to ensure your student is succeeding! OUE challenges students to become accomplished learners who can make meaningful connections among work, study, and community and we provide resources to help your student succeed—during and after college. Whether your student needs help with a challenging course, wants to identify an undergraduate research opportunity, or plans to find a co-op or internship position, OUE can help. Below you'll find a brief overview of everything we offer. And even though we've tried to include everything you need to know, the best way to stay connected with OUE and all of our programs is to follow us on InstagramTwitter, or Facebook, at @GTOUE.

Undergraduate Advising & Transition The Office of Undergraduate Advising and Transition (UAT) promotes student success and personal and academic growth through programs and activities designed to support learning and engagement with the Georgia Tech community and environment. UAT coordinates exploratory advising, academic coaching, academic intervention programs and services for students who are experiencing academic difficulty (such as GT 2100), and other student success programs and workshops. It also includes Georgia Tech's first-year and transfer-year transition courses, GT 1000 and GT 2000. For more information, visit advising.gatech.edu.

Academic Engagement Programs provides programs and services that foster rigorous academic activities, integrate, and enhance traditional curricular activities, and create meaningful opportunities for student-faculty engagement. They are the hub for several programs and activities, including the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, student innovation programs such as The InVenture Prize, Learning Communities, and more. The Georgia Tech Career Center is Georgia Tech’s central office for assisting students with all aspects of career planning and job search. Their mission is to provide career education so that all Georgia Tech students are positioned to launch, navigate, and sustain satisfying and successful careers that make a meaningful contribution to society. The Career Center defines “career” broadly, reflecting the diverse interests and goals of Georgia Tech students. They serve students through advising, counseling, professional skills building, experiential education (co-ops and internships), and full-time employment opportunities. The Honors Program combines the challenging academic standards of one of the world's finest research universities with the closer student-faculty connections one might expect to find at smaller colleges. Its mission is to create a lively environment where students and faculty members learn from one another through a common commitment to intellectual inquiry, careful analysis, and energetic exchange of ideas.

Pre-Graduate and Pre-Professional (PGPP) Advising works with students who choose to attend professional or graduate school or pursue prestigious fellowships. They support students and alumni considering careers in academia, health, law, teaching, and other fields. PGPP's programs and advisors encourage students to reflect on their knowledge, skills, experience, and strengths to determine the best path forward to their immediate and long-term goals. For students interested in professional school, PGPP advisors ensure that students are prepared for the competitive admissions process to medical school and other health-related programs. For more information, visit pgpp.oue.gatech.edu or contact Shannon Dobranski at Shannon.dobranski@gatech.edu.

The central tenet of Serve-Learn-Sustain is service-learning and community engagement — educating students through classroom, co-curricular, and real-world learning, both on campus and off, to contribute to the task of "creating sustainable communities." Students in any major can now work on community-focused projects incorporated into classroom learning. The program also provides access to related co-ops, internships, research opportunities, and study abroad programs.
