Now is a great time to start planning for the next academic year. Many spring 2024 study abroad application deadlines happen early in the fall semester. For instance, if your student is interested in studying abroad on an exchange program in spring 2024, they need to apply by September 1, 2023. Students are encouraged to meet with an advisor in the Office of International Education (OIE) this spring or summer to explore the numerous opportunities available for their major.

If your student will be looking for funding options, the OIE Scholarship page is a great place to start. The OIE Administered Scholarship application cycle for undergraduate students studying abroad in fall 2023 and spring 2024 will open April 1, and the application deadline is June 15. Students will have an update on the status of their application by early August. Students should apply online and for questions or concerns, email: education.abroad@oie.gatech.edu.
