What is Sibs Day?
Sibs Day is a fun-filled weekend sponsored by Parent and Family Programs. Georgia Tech students may host any brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, or family friends (ages 7-17)! Guests arrive on campus Saturday morning and join us for a full day of activities on Saturday.

Can I get directions to Georgia Tech?

Where is Sibs Day located at Georgia Tech?
Locations will vary. Please check the schedule as we get closer to the date of the event.  The activities will be in several buildings located around campus throughout the day.

Are overnight accommodations available?
Accommodations on campus are not provided, but we encourage you to visit the hotel page to view the discounted rate we have for families joining us for Sibs Day.

Who can come to Sibs Day?
Students, siblings, family members, friends, and parents are invited to participate in Sibs Day.   The only rule is that you have to have at least one Georgia Tech student to attend and serve as a host to the participant(s).

Do I have to bring a sibling?
No, you do not have to bring a sibling to join in the fun of Sibs Day.   You may invite a niece, nephew, cousin or family friend to join you for the day!

When can I register?
Registration will open on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 9 A.M. and will close on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 4 P.M. 

Where do I check-in for Sibs Day?
Check in will take place in the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons building, which is located near the Student Center and Tech Green.

Do I need to complete a liability form?
Yes, each participant, INCLUDING the Georgia Tech student and any parents that are participating, is required to have a completed liability form in order to join us for the events of the day.  A liability waiver is needed in order for you to grant permission for your child to participate in the activities of Sibs Day.

Is there a refund policy?
Georgia Tech is proud to have you join us on our campus for this amazing event. With so many activities we have to offer, we are not able to offer refunds for cancellations. If you have any questions contact, please contact Parent and Family Programs at 404-385-1396.

Is there a cost for Sibs Day?
The registration fee is $45 per participant and covers two meals, activities, a ticket to the Georgia Tech Men’s Basketball game against Boston College, a Sibs Day long sleeve shirt and a sling bag.

How can I pay for Sibs Day?
We offer an online registration process. More information may be found here.

How do I know I successfully completed the registration process?
Upon completing the registration process, you will receive a confirmation via email. You will also receive a confirmation a week prior to the event via email that will include more information about the day.  Tickets for events will be included in a registration packet distributed upon arrival at check in. If you do not receive this email, please contact the Parent & Family Programs staff via email parents@gatech.edu or by phone at 404-385-1396.

Can parents come to Sibs Day?
Absolutely! If you would like to join us, please do so.   Please note the $45 registration fee is per person (and that includes parents).  Remember the weekend of activities is geared to a younger crowd.  A limited number tickets will be available for $25 each for parents to join their children just for dinner and the basketball game.

Can you suggest some things for parents to do in Atlanta that weekend?
Yes, we are putting together a list of activities and local attractions for parents and guardians to check out while their kids are on campus that weekend and will have it available at check-in the morning of February 11th.
